We'll be holding evening and first day observances at the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship at 2945 NW
Circle Boulevard and second day Rosh Hashanah services at Beit Am, 625 NW 36th, in Corvallis. Mark your calendars now.  See how you can get involved at High Holidays Volunteer Needs.

Students attend services as guests of Beit Am. They and all other non-members who wish to
attend are asked to make prior arrangements by calling Beit Am, or get more information for non-members here...

We are providing childcare in two of the Fellowship classrooms during the services. This area will be
supervised during all services. However, during the daytime services one adult has to be present at all times.Sign-up sheets for 30-minute slots will be available.

We ask that for services at the Fellowship all children be either with their parents or in the supervised area. Please reserve the last three rows for families with babies or small children and for the elderly to ensure easy access and exit.

Notes on Services
Rosh Hashanah kiddush luncheon: This year we will have a kiddush lunch on Day 1 of Rosh Hashanah as part of our community observance. For questions, additional information and to volunteer
to help contact Joni at the Beit Am office, 753-0067 or office@beitam.org.

Tashlikh: a High Holiday ritual of “casting” into running water what we would like to leave behind as
we move towards renewal. A casual, intimate gathering for adults and children of all ages will be followed
by a dairy potluck dinner. This observance will be held at Avery Park (Maple Grove Shelter).

Yom Kippur Havdalah: Following the Youth Service, all children and families are warmly encouraged
to stay to the conclusion of the Ne’ilah service, when we will hear one long, final blast of the shofar,
gather around the sweet light and melodies of Havdalah, then break the fast together.

Note that Sukkot begins at sunset on October 12, just four days after Yom Kippur ends. No time to waste in your Sukkah building!
