Harmonia, directed by Ori Sivan Sunday, April 8th 2:00 PM You are witness to a recasting of the biblical story of Abraham, Sarah, Ishmael and Isaac in present day Jerusalem. Sarah is the harpist of the Jerusalem Philharmonic; Abraham is its conductor. When Hagar, a young horn player from East Jerusalem joins the orchestra, she bonds with Sarah and a unique friendship evolves between the two women. Hagar offers to have a baby for the childless couple. Years later Sarah in her 40's also has a child. The village has suffered decades of economic and demographic decline. The handful of remaining residents observe refugee families from Syria and elsewhere as they cross the border, and ponder inviting them to settle in the vacant village houses. When the Nazis arrive in Italy, their caretakers desperately organize the departure of the children to Switzerland. When they are suddenly left on their own, these 8 children do the impossible and reach the Swiss border to freedom.
